MISC. INFO
Constance’s villainy stems from a dangerous manifestation of apathy, one where it does not matter what happens to others, so as “nothing will come of the circumstances”. The way she clings to Umbrella/Neo-Umbrella is a desperate attempt to have control over said circumstances no matter the cost.
BACKGROUND.
Born to Umbrella Corporation subsidiaries Hamish Lane Fox and Ivy-Rose Duncan, Constance matured in a life surrounded by secrecy and deception. Throughout her adolescence, Constance remained fairly oblivious to the work of the Corporation’s pharmaceutical subsidiary. Though with her growing interest in biosciences, she was slowly introduced to the true nature of the company’s work.
Initially perturbed by the development of biological weaponry and the monopolization of a lucrative industry, Constance set a rigid boundary between herself and her parents. Initially, her plan had been to run away from home and find a way to expose the hidden operations of Umbrella Europe, though these plans were quickly made defunct by the fact that she had little to no access to pertinent data. What little information she had was not worth the risk of fleeing, so she remained and even offered to take a position alongside her parents in the field. Infiltration had seemed the best course of action, and at the age of 18 (1996), Constance had become an official employee within Umbrella Europe’s pharmaceutical division.

UMBRELLA’S DECLINE AND COLLAPSE (1998-2004)
Unfortunately, Constance’s plans of infiltration and exposure would crumble beneath her feet. The corporation’s global subsidiaries were garnering the attention of governments across the world, and Umbrella USA was the first of many to fall under the pressure. Almost immediately after their collapse, the U.S. Department of Defense set up the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team—an anti-B.O.W. agency within STRATCOM to take on bioweapons—and was given the Anti-Virus Weapon Protocol No. 7600 order which authorized any unsolicited operations in other countries to take care of outbreaks. This had meant that, in due time, Constance and her peers would be placed in the crossfire of justice. Sheena Island was the next to fall, with Rockfort Island soon crumbling after. Constance was scheduled to fly to the Antarctic facility, though news soon reached that this facility had also been destroyed.
With support systems vanishing seemingly overnight, Constance was forced with a decision: Accept the ramifications of her compliance and plea that her minuscule testimonies would be enough to keep her afloat, or keep operations going by joining rogue employees in feeding bioweapons onto the black market in attempts to garner more information.
Constance allied herself with Umbrella’s desperate populace, establishing a network of underground connections across Europe. Independent contractors and rival pharmaceutical companies eagerly tapped into the new market, and Constance began to see just how deep the operations ran. Governments and corporations across the globe didn’t want but needed their hands on the latest sadistic methods to control their populaces and push their authority. The rates of bioterror attacks and outbreaks began to skyrocket in the early 2000s, with one notable event occurring in Umbrella Europe’s Paris Laboratory. Former executive Morpheus D. Duvall led a terrorist operation to raid the Umbrella Europe’s Paris Laboratory, where samples of t-Virus and the experimental t+G Virus were stored. The group then boarded the Spencer Rain while it was transporting Hunter Elites to an unidentified recipient in North America and threatened to fire missiles designed to disperse t-Virus at the United States and China if they did not hand over $5 billion. STRATCOM and the Chinese security ministry ended this crisis, though this was only the beginning of the end. The testimonies of two of Umbrella’s former employees, Yoko Suzuki and Linda Baldwin, were ultimately meaningless in the investigation of Umbrella’s crimes, and it was only when Wesker himself exposed the corporation’s archives to make a deal with the United States that swayed the corporation to its collapse. Dr. Spencer was seemingly the sole target of the international manhunt, and it was not long before the corporation’s last base of operations went into liquidation in March 2004. Now formally unemployed and left with an expansive network of data and contacts, Constance left Europe and looked to new horizons.

RESIDENT EVIL 5
Six years after the destruction of Umbrella, Constance has become an independent agent following the trails established by anti-B.O.W. organizations and picking up the remnants of Umbrella’s work to distribute to the highest bidders. Her latest leads have lead her to investigate possible Bio Organic Weapon smuggling in Africa, though she is not alone in this investigation. Much to her dismay, the BSAA’s star agent, Chris Redfield, is also on the hunt for the source of the Plagas outbreak.
During her investigation, Constance learns the location of a mysterious flower known as ‘Stairway of the Sun’, a flower which Umbrella utilized to create the Progenitor virus. Additionally, she learns that a local Umbrella research facility has been occupied by TRICELL Inc., and decides to establish contact with the organization. Whilst within the facility, Constance learns of Redfield’s infiltration and learns that Wesker himself is also within the facility. Knowing what’s to come, Constance uses the fight between Redfield, Wesker, and Valentine as a distraction to flee before more BSAA operatives enter the facility. Hesitant to return to Europe so soon, Constance sets her sights on the Americas.

RESIDENT EVIL 6
Nestled in the States, Constance finds herself in the small town of Tall Oaks to recuperate and evaluate the data gathered from her investigation in Africa. What Constance was unaware of, however, was that the city would become a target to a bioterrorist attack orchestrated by the National Security Advisor, Derek C. Simmons. When the outbreak began with the President’s mutation at Ivy University, Constance knew her time to investigate the matter would be slim. She was correct in this assumption, as it was not long before the entire city fell infected with a mysterious variant of the C-virus.
Fighting her way through the hordes of infected, Constance finds herself entering the University to see the building now unoccupied, having been the result of Leon S. Kennedy’s swift handiwork. Among the remnants of the initial outbreak, Constance finds data from the press conference referencing an organization known as “Neo-Umbrella”. The data seemed to be inquiring into the former president’s plan to deal with this bioterrorist organization, alleged connections to the former parent organization, and alleged connections to two prominent individuals: Derek Clifford Simmons and Dr. Carla Radames. With a new lead, and potential at regaining employment with Umbrella, Constance set off to find the organization’s base of operations.
The investigation leads Constance to China, where she eventually finds the remnants of the Quad Tower, a former hub for Neo Umbrella’s experiments in China. Disgruntled by her inability to beat the destruction, Constance carefully traverses the rubble to gather any intel that could prove useful to restarting the organization. Alongside the remains of former leader Dr. Radames, Constance is able to locate the last of the organization’s researchers as they flee from the underwater facility. Confronting them at the end of the rail-line, Constance holds the destruction of the organization and their work as a method of blackmail, delivering an ultimatum: Work with her to re-establish the organization or face prosecution in the eyes of the globe.
Fearful of the repercussions, the researchers agree to ally themselves with Constance, and the group seeks out refuge in Europe to recuperate and reorganize.

RESIDENT EVIL: VILLAGE
Eight years after the revival of Neo-Umbrella, Constance has become the very person she once swore to put before justice. Neo-Umbrella has been revitalized, holding numerous research facilities within the foothills of Europe and maintaining a vast underground network of buyers and competitors. Through her work, Constance has discovered the connection between Umbrella Corporation, The Connections, and a woman by the name of Miranda. Constance reached out to Miranda regarding the connections and attempted to make a deal with the woman regarding her testing within the Village. The attempts went without success, though the doors between Neo-Umbrella and Miranda were never fully closed.
Instead, Constance took the polite decline as a motive for personally investigating the Village’s operations, and moved Neo-Umbrella’s head of operations to Sinaia, a town and a mountain resort in the historical region of Muntenia. Residing within the town not only puts Constance under the radar for the time being but allows her to vanish to the wilds of the region and navigate this mysterious Village first-hand. Now, it is up to Constance to once again race the BSAA to get her hands on the purest forms of the Cadou, a parasitic nematode, before they are destroyed once and for all.
