Emery is an attendant uncle to Tyonius and Regina, often keeping the two in his custody when Elisabet is unable to care for them. They are approximately two years old.

BACKGROUND.

As the eldest child of the Beaumanoir noble house, Emery grew up in the vast city of Val Royeaux and has enjoyed a life of privilege. The Beaumanoir house is fiercely loyal to the Andrastian Chantry, having a rich history in servitude to and the protection of the secular capital of Orlais. The Beaumanoir family does everything to promote the concepts of nobility and being just in one’s actions, though greed and corruption exist within those with power. It is argued by the family’s opponents that the spotlight on honor and chivalry comes at the extent of losing their logic and reasoning, though members of the Beaumanoir family protest otherwise.

With a well-rooted standing in the city, Emery was able to attend the University of Orlais and become a knowledgeable scholar. His work focused on the rich, cultural history of Orlais and the effects on the nation-state courtesy of the Exalted March. However, things grew tense for the family when conflicts arose between them and House Agatha, a noble family from the Tevinter Imperium. Relations between House Agatha’s heirs and House Beaumanoir’s grew entangled, and it was not long before word of these affairs went public with the birth of Regina and Tyonius Beaumanoir, the illegitimate children between Elisabet Beaumanoir and Quintis Agatha. Similarly, rumors and speculation surrounding Emery’s relationship with Vassenia Agatha had begun to raise public suspicion.

To protect their family’s status, House Beaumanoir enacted a contract with the House of Repose. The terms of this contract were straightforward: Assassinate all heirs to House Agatha. As the heir to House Beaumanoir’s chair, Emery spends much of his free time keeping tabs on the status of the contract’s completion. Thus far, two heirs of House Agatha have been assassinated, though one has gone missing from the eyes of Tevinter and Orlais. Unable to do much due to his status, Emery has infiltrated the House of Repose with a bard by the name of Anja Weiss. She has become his eyes and ears, and in return, he offers riches that she could not dream of.
