BACKGROUND.

Isis was born in the bustling historical city of Alexandria to two loving parents, and alongside her twin brother, Ahsan. The two were fairly close with one another, and they lived a fairly typical life growing up. One of Isis’ favorite pastimes was to go down to the docks and watch the ships move in and out of the ports, often studying the various models and noting the differences between them. It was around age 15 that she had decided she wanted to make a career out of her curious little hobby, and upon graduating from secondary school, she went to university. Upon graduating from Alexandria University with a degree in Marine Engineering, Isis joined with the Moganada Masriya (Female Egyptian Conscript) to aid in the advocacy of voluntary female conscription among Egypt’s armed forces.

It was during her time as a member of the Moganada Masriya that a scout for Hoyt Volker had caught her in a confrontation. Noting how she did not back down, even when considerably outnumbered, he stepped in an attempt to defuse the situation and get to know more about her. A fight broke out, in which one of the assaulters shattered a bottle and cut Isis’ face with the jagged edges, leaving a deep scar beneath her right eye. After helping her and hearing why the confrontation had begun, he offered her a job with a “privately contracted military force”, and she accepted.

Days later, Isis vanished into the night and joined the scout on the boat to the southern Rook Islands, where she was introduced to Hoyt Volker for the first time. All she could do was watch in fear and amazement as the tyrant addressed the crowd of recruits, including a notably shifty one who had seemed uncomfortable by the mention of hunting down a “Jason Brody”. Nonetheless, Isis joined the privateer’s forces as a recruit and finds a certain comfort on the islands.
