The consensus for which sign Jaylmaxi was 'born' under are varied. Some villagers will say Jaylmaxi is a fire-type, whilst others say they are a water-type.
The purple streaks in Jaylmaxi's hair are estimated to be remnant sources of Flow, a powerful magic that has been investigated and outlawed by The Order.
Much is unknown about who the humans are, or where they originated from, yet a mysterious force within the cosmos has called upon Jaylmaxi to reappear in the era of the Majiri to aid those investigating the ancient ruins of human civilization. As such, they first appear before Kilima's resident researcher, Jina, and her Galdur counterpart, Hekla. Ushered in with enthusiasm—and notes of hesitancy—Jaylmaxi is promptly given a place to stay just outside of the main village. They spend most of their time building upon their homestead, and investigating just why they have appeared.
These investigations, in tandem with their work and communication with/for the villagers of Kilima and Bahari Bay, eventually lead to Jaylmaxi becoming an official citizen, with Tish as their Shepp (representative/spokesperson).
