BACKGROUND.
Born and raised in Vice City, Maddox lived a comfortable life alongside his parents and older sister. His parents owned a relatively successful marketing/sales firm and had begun to dip their toes into the more elite circles within Vice City before deciding to move to Los Santos circa 2008.
Luckily for the family, the gamble was well worth the struggle, as it was not long before the profit began to roll in. Up-and-coming businesses flocked to grasp at any straws they could, and that meant making deals with Globeworks. Sixteen at the time, the sudden influx of income meant that he was well-prepared to pursue higher education. He attended a prestigious university and earned his Bachelor’s in Communications and Marketing before taking a position within the family company as a social media manager and marketing consultant.
This arrangement went on for a few years before his parents decided to retire, and Maddox became the CEO of Globeworks. Things operated as per usual whilst his family remained in Los Santos, but when they’d made the decision to move back to their family home in Vice City, the future of Globeworks was drastically changed. Bored of the day-to-day dealings, Maddox sought more adventurous avenues. He tapped into the local criminal scene, forming a brief alliance with Canics Corp. to secure a means for manufacturing and distributing MDMA and LSD through the nightclub scene. He purchased property in Downtown Vinewood with the aid of CEO Laverne Alba and associate Tony Prince, and established the club Omega as a front for more illicit dealings.
All the while, Maddox used Globeworks to secure connections with the LSPD through various advertisement deals amidst the rise of criticisms of the force. This eventually led to Maddox brushing shoulders with Steven Haines, a decorated FIB agent and host of “The Underbelly of Paradise”. Due to his work with the LSPD, and the notoriety of Globeworks, Maddox was able to form a unique business partnership with the fed: In exchange for pertinent information regarding the criminal workings of Los Santos (gained as a “convenient” result of running a nightclub in the heart of the city), Haines would sign an exclusive deal with Globeworks for all marketing for his show.
