Interactions with Nora will be limited as, canonically, she dies within Vault 111. These interactions can either come from encountering her spirit, when writing a pre-Fallout verse, or when writing an alternate universe where she is the Sole Survivor and Shepard is the one killed in Vault 111.
According to Nora's mother, she has the patience of a saint.
In verses where Nora is the sole survivor, she sides with the Railroad.
BACKGROUND.
Born and raised in Suffolk County, New York, Nora grew up active. Most of her childhood was spent outside hiking and swimming, with Nora spending much of her late nights at the Montauk Point Lighthouse with peers. She excelled academically, graduating as valedictorian from her high school and jumping into higher academics. After graduating from the Suffolk County School of Law with a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD), Nora went on to gain partnership at a local firm dedicated to health law. During her time as a lawyer, the war between China and the United States grew more intense. Nora personally oversaw legal battles regarding the maltreatment of Chinese-American citizens, and spent many days and nights finding ways to share resources with local mutual aid groups. During this work, she met a man named Shepard and the two quickly fell in love with one another, eloping a mere year after their relationship blossomed. As Shepard was still enlisted in the military, Nora did her best to maintain contact with him during his deployment to Anchorage, Alaska. Unfortunately, communication ceased as the city was taken by invading forces, and Shepard suffered a plethora of injuries that would lead to his discharge.
Now left to ease him into a fairly domestic life, Nora and Shepard adopted a young infant boy and named him Shaun. He was a newborn, left behind by an unknown woman, and the two were quick to take him in as their own. Things had begun to go the right way until October came, that was.
As the family, and their neighborhood, were preparing for Halloween, a frightening news broadcast was released onto the television. Threats of imminent nuclear war, reported bombs dropping on major American cities, and entire communities going dark. Shepard, Nora, and Shaun were escorted to Vault 111, just above their community, and it was on their way down the elevator that they saw the bombs fall. The sky lit up, almost all senses temporarily vanishing as they looked on in fear.
And then the doors shut, and the world went dark.
The Vault staff froze the incoming civilians, suspending them in cryostasis until a manual override caused the pods to malfunction and kill nearly everyone. This override lead to the death of Nora, and the disappearance of Shaun.
