2025 Birthday Post.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! (2025)

Originally, I was going to include this as a brief in the Monthly Recap... but I thought, screw it, I deserve to be a little self-centered and make a page dedicated to my birthday. So I did! And I'm writing this earlier in the day/coming back to insert things later, so you might not be reading the final version of this page; unless this part is struck out in which case it is final.

Today is my 25th birthday, as evidenced by the fact it is 2025. Perks of being born in 2000, I can never forget how old I am!

But today has been really amazing. I took the day off from work, I experimented with my new makeup (which was brought with some gift money, thanks Delia!) and re-created a Christina Aguilera / Britney Spears-esque sorta look with white and blue glitters. I also got... one of the best gifts ever. Genuinely. My partner got me a cameo from the JANE PERRY! THE DIANA BURNWOOD!!!! AND SHE SAID *MY* NAME!!!!

Like. Y'all. I saw the cameo link and started getting misty-eyed. I saw the name Jane Perry and started sobbing before I could even press play. Then when I did listen to it? Inconsolable. Actually overwhelmed. My head felt light and my chest was hurting a little but in the best way possible. My partner... also... collaborated with my brother and did something amazing too.

My mom, dad, and them got me the Hannibal book series, which I am really excited to read! I loved NBC's Hannibal, and I've always wanted to at least watch some of the more original media; this is definitely much better, though! But that means... my brother reached out to my partner talking about bringing a related shitpost kind of idea to life. And. They certainly delivered:

Fucking. Brokeback Mountain. Hannigram.

I'm having homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner! We have this sorta family recipe we adapted over the years, so we made it with pepperjack, sharp cheddar, and white cheddar cheese. It was delicious. And, of course, we got a Publix cake. This year, I sent my parents 3 options and told them to surprise me with their pick because I genuinely could not narrow down what flavor I wanted. I ended up getting the Chocolate Chip Cookie Crumble Cheesecake and it was... so fucking good. Like seriously. We rushed it a little and the cheesecake was frozen still but GOD the combo of cake and cookies... So good.

Other than that, the day was relaxing and I actually felt really happy about it! It's definitely a nice way to have celebrated a milestone birthday (or, as my mom put it, turning "a quarter of a century old"). Happy birthday to me!
