Summer, 2077
June: Due to the death of his father, Yorinobu becomes Arasaka's next CEO. He uses this acquisition of power to push the blame onto Militech, further exacerbating tensions between the two corporations. On an unspecified date, Vincent "V" Hale helps Panam Palmer get her vehicle and transport back from the Raffen Shivs, using the business partnership as a way to learn more about how to get the Relic removed from his head (and with it, the spirit of Johnny Silverhand). However, he refuses to pursue and eliminate Nash, which sours the deal. Still, the duo deliver the transport to the contact at the Sunset Motel, to which Panam invites Vera "V" Lynn to meet up and discuss the plan to exact revenge. Vera and Vincent meet, though do not swap information, as her and Panam leave quickly to get the jump on the Raffen Shivs, and their leader, Nash. After a few weeks pass, Vincent contacts Panam for help assaulting a power plant just outside Night City's surveillance zone to create a massive EMP, which would then take down a Kang Tao AV carrying the Relic's designer, Anders Hellman. The following days include a balance of planning for the takedown, and Vera aiding Panam in her attempts to stabilize the Aldecados. Through their work together, Vera learns about Vincent's plan, and gets his contact information from Panam. Vera reaches out to Vincent, inquiring about the Relic and letting him know that the Aldecados can help him if/when he needs it.
July: Valerie "V" Ávila Salazar helps Judy Alvarez in trying to find Evelyn Parker, as she's gone dark after the failed Konpeki heist. They find her in a scav hideout, and contact Vincent "V" Hale to let him know. He comes over to watch the brain dances that Judy scrolls from the unconscious Evelyn, and briefly follows up on the Voodoo Boys lead whilst the others attempt to help Evelyn recover. Unfortunately, they return to Judy's apartment one day to find out that Evelyn has committed suicide. Enraged by the events that transpired, the duo get their revenge on Clouds. Not long after this happens, Hanako Arasaka is kidnapped by Vincent and Goro Takemura during the Aratama Matsuri festival parade to tell her the truth behind Saburo's death. The briefing is interrupted as a strike force led by notorious mercenary Adam Smasher breaks through and recovers her. Valerie, who was at the motel for a simple thievery job, witnesses the entire operation and helps Goro and Vincent escape. It is here she learns about the Relic, seeing it firsthand as Johnny Silverhand overtakes Vincent's body to get him rushed to Vik's clinic for stabilization. She follows, seeing things go well and lending a hand to Vik where needed, and the pair decide to keep contact as they go their separate ways.
Late July - Early August: While following leads regarding the Relic, Vincent "V" Hale is contacted by Songbird, a notorious netrunner, who says she requires urgent help in saving the President of the NUSA. Uneasy with her remote control of the Relic, and knowing that the weight of such an event would carry on him, he agrees to enter Dogtown to find the AV wreckage. Throughout the recovery process, Vincent finds himself entangled in a web of half-truths and blinding lies, thus sparking the events of the Phantom Liberty DLC. Ultimately, Vincent sides with Solomon Reed, thus betraying (and saving) Songbird, and securing an option for removing the Relic chip. At a later date, once the procedure is cleared, Vincent is contacted by Solomon Reed. He is flown to Langely to undergo the experimental surgery. With little notice, all Vincent can tell his closest compatriots is that he has a lead on the Relic, and that he'll let them know when something happens.
