In October, her and Jackie Welles smuggle Arasaka contraband across the Californian border. The contract ends up being a bust, and they make a hasty escape, becoming formidable allies in the process. In late October, Valerie "V" Ávila Salazar returns to Night City and resumes work for the Valentinos. Not long after this, in the early weeks of November, she is contracted by Kirk Sawyer to steal a Rayfield Areodight from a corpo agent. She is stopped by Jackie Welles, who was also tasked to steal the vehicle. The two, admist their posturing, are confronted by corrupt NCPD officers, who beat them and leave them for dead in an alleyway. When they come to, the duo laugh off the failed job and decide to grab lunch together, thus beginning a blossoming friendship. A few weeks later, Vincent "V" Hale is tasked with assassinating Susan Abernathy after Arthur Jenkins, his direct superior, kills a significant number of European Space Alliance representatives. He meets up with Jackie Welles, using their prior connections, to discuss getting together a crew for the job. The pair are cornered by Arasaka agents working under Abernathy, and Vincent is stripped of his corporate status. Sickened by the sudden coming off of hormonal regulators, Jackie offers to let Vincent stay with him and his mother while he gets back on his feet.

2077: On an unspecified date, Arasaka announces development on the Relic Project.

Spring, 2077

March: Valerie "V" Ávila Salazar and Jackie Welles are hired by Wakako Okada to find and recover Sandra Dorsett from a group of scavengers (scavs). After the job is completed, Valerie begins to feel unwell and is introduced to back-alley ripperdoc Viktor Vektor.

April: Vincent Hale and Jackie Welles are hired by Dexter DeShawn to carry out a heist against Arasaka. The goal is to steal the prototype Relic from Yorinobu Arasaka's suite in Konpeki Plaza.

May 1st: The Kujira arrives in Night City. Aboard are Saburo and Hanako Arasaka, and Goro Takemura.

Early May: The Konpeki Plaza heist occurs. During the heist, Saburo Arasaka is murdered by his son, Yorinobu, which causes Konpeki to initiate their Code Red protocol. Vincent "V" Hale and Jackie Welles fight their way out of the plaza, though Jackie succumbs to his injuries before the duo can reach teh rendezvous point. The Relic is slotted in Vincent's head, and embedded there when Dexter DeShawn shoots him with the intention to kill him and cover his tracks. Some unspecified amount of time later, the Relic activates and revives Vincent, which catches the eye of Goro Takemura. The Arasaka bodyguard kills Dexter DeShawn, and takes Vincent to Vik's shop for emergency medical intervention with the intent to recover the Relic and learn what happened.

Late May: Jackie Welles' offrenda is held at El Coyote Cojo, the bar he and his mother owned. Vincent and Valerie meet one another after the intial service, and swap contact information after some chatting. Vera Lynn was unable to attend, due to her probationary work for the Aldecados.

Summer, 2077

June: Due to the death of his father, Yorinobu becomes Arasaka's next CEO. He uses this acquisition of power to push the blame onto Militech, further exacerbating tensions between the two corporations. On an unspecified date, Vincent "V" Hale helps Panam Palmer get her vehicle and transport back from the Raffen Shivs, using the business partnership as a way to learn more about how to get the Relic removed from his head (and with it, the spirit of Johnny Silverhand). However, he refuses to pursue and eliminate Nash, which sours the deal. Still, the duo deliver the transport to the contact at the Sunset Motel, to which Panam invites Vera "V" Lynn to meet up and discuss the plan to exact revenge. Vera and Vincent meet, though do not swap information, as her and Panam leave quickly to get the jump on the Raffen Shivs, and their leader, Nash. After a few weeks pass, Vincent contacts Panam for help assaulting a power plant just outside Night City's surveillance zone to create a massive EMP, which would then take down a Kang Tao AV carrying the Relic's designer, Anders Hellman. The following days include a balance of planning for the takedown, and Vera aiding Panam in her attempts to stabilize the Aldecados. Through their work together, Vera learns about Vincent's plan, and gets his contact information from Panam. Vera reaches out to Vincent, inquiring about the Relic and letting him know that the Aldecados can help him if/when he needs it.

July: Valerie "V" Ávila Salazar helps Judy Alvarez in trying to find Evelyn Parker, as she's gone dark after the failed Konpeki heist. They find her in a scav hideout, and contact Vincent "V" Hale to let him know. He comes over to watch the brain dances that Judy scrolls from the unconscious Evelyn, and briefly follows up on the Voodoo Boys lead whilst the others attempt to help Evelyn recover. Unfortunately, they return to Judy's apartment one day to find out that Evelyn has committed suicide. Enraged by the events that transpired, the duo get their revenge on Clouds. Not long after this happens, Hanako Arasaka is kidnapped by Vincent and Goro Takemura during the Aratama Matsuri festival parade to tell her the truth behind Saburo's death. The briefing is interrupted as a strike force led by notorious mercenary Adam Smasher breaks through and recovers her. Valerie, who was at the motel for a simple thievery job, witnesses the entire operation and helps Goro and Vincent escape. It is here she learns about the Relic, seeing it firsthand as Johnny Silverhand overtakes Vincent's body to get him rushed to Vik's clinic for stabilization. She follows, seeing things go well and lending a hand to Vik where needed, and the pair decide to keep contact as they go their separate ways.

Late July - Early August: While following leads regarding the Relic, Vincent "V" Hale is contacted by Songbird, a notorious netrunner, who says she requires urgent help in saving the President of the NUSA. Uneasy with her remote control of the Relic, and knowing that the weight of such an event would carry on him, he agrees to enter Dogtown to find the AV wreckage. Throughout the recovery process, Vincent finds himself entangled in a web of half-truths and blinding lies, thus sparking the events of the Phantom Liberty DLC. Ultimately, Vincent sides with Solomon Reed, thus betraying (and saving) Songbird, and securing an option for removing the Relic chip. At a later date, once the procedure is cleared, Vincent is contacted by Solomon Reed. He is flown to Langely to undergo the experimental surgery. With little notice, all Vincent can tell his closest compatriots is that he has a lead on the Relic, and that he'll let them know when something happens.

Late 2077 - 2079

Late 2077 - 2078: With Vera "V" Lynn's help, and the stabilization of the group as a whole, the Aldecados leave the outskirts of Night City, setting out for bigger, better ventures. Vera attempts to reach out to Vincent "V" Hale prior to her departure, but finds no luck in reaching them. At an unknown date, Arasaka pulls out of Night City after the deaths of several important members, and a drastic change in their leadership structure. In April, Night Corp publishes a statement about the finalization of the construction of a maglev network connecting Night City to other NUSA cities. In May, Lizzy Wizzy expands her career by playing concerts at the Crystal Palace as part of her Cosmic Tour. Valerie "V" Ávila Salazar attends the concerts, able to afford the various trips after making it big at the Afterlife. In Winter, Night Corp's maglev network becomes operational.

2079: Vincent "V" Hale wakes up in Langley's recovery wing, learning that he has been in a coma for two years. He also learns that the operation has "softened" his brain, reducing his cyberware capabilities to zero. Knowing this, and knowing he can no longer trust anyone involved with the Phantom Liberty incident, he returns to Night City. Things have drastically changed, and he realizes any connections he had prior have become withered, if not outright severed. Despite the pain it brings him, Vincent realizes this may be a good thing, and that he can now attempt to live a life without strings attached.
